The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano State Council, has congratulated Baba Halilu Dantiye (Mni), on his appointment and swearing-in as Kano State Commissioner for Information by Kano State Governor, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf.

In a congratulatory letter, jointly signed by Council Chairman, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim and Secretary Comrade Abba Murtala, described the appointment as well-deserved one in view of his impressive pedigree, first as a former Editor with the Triumph Newspapers, a two-term President of the elite Nigerian Guild of Editors(NGE), a former Director-General (Media), a retired Permanent Secretary and above all, a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (mni).

“We hope you will bring these unmatchable records to bear in projecting the good image of the state as well as managing information about the policies and programmes of the Abba Kabir Yusuf-led administration.”

The Council maintained that “As your professional colleagues, we pledge to give you all the necessary support, cooperation and understanding to enable you succeed in the attainment of the noble objective.”
