Let me use this medium to express my feelings about the issue of palliatives aimed at cushioning the effect of fuel price increase in the country.

One begins to wonder how public servants in service treat retirees in this country as if they are not human beings.
The Head of State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, promised to pay palliatives to both serving workers and retirees. We were required to submit our bank details through our PFA’s for approval.

While serving workers received their palliatives, retirees are yet to see the light of day. It is unfortunate that both NLC and TUC have kept mute on our plight.

Yet the President keeps calling on the governors to redeem their pledges on the payment of palliatives to workers and their retirees in their respective states.
