Nigeria Immigration Personnel, Ishaku Yila Manaseh who allegedly stabbed his friend to death has been arrested by Gombe Command of Nigeria Police.
ASP Mahid Mua’zu Abubakar, Police Public Relations Officer, Gombe State Command, made this known at a press briefing.

He said Manaseh, 42, a serving member of Immigration in Billiri LGA, Gombe State was allegedly stabbed his friend one Mela Andrawus ’m’ aged 30yrs of Awai quarters, Billiri LGA on his chest, over a minor argument, at a drinking joint in Billiri.
“On June 10 at about 1230hrs based on complaint received by the Divisional Police Headquarters Billiri, that one Ishaku Yila Manaseh a serving member of Nigeria Immigration Service, Billiri formation, criminally stabbed his friend,”
“On received of the complaint, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and his team rushed to the scene, where they succeeded in arresting the suspect and took the victim to Police clinic Billiri where he was certified dead by a medical doctor, a Knife was recovered as exhibit.” He said.
Mahid, however said the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime, noting that the case will soon be charged to court.
The PPRO similarly explained that, one Babangida Mohammed ‘m’ aged 21yrs a resident of Zenge village kaltungo LGA was also arrested over the alleged killing of his wife Fatsuma Babangida.

“On June 12 at about 1530hours, a case of Culpable Homicide was reported at Awak Division that on June 2 at about 0400hours, the suspect Babangida Muhd strangled his wife, one Fatsuma Babangida ‘f’ and killed her, case is under investigation.” He explained.
ASP Mahid pointed out that Police had also arrested one Usman Yahaya Ismail, aged 24 over the alleged offence of theft at UBA ATM machine.
“On April 28 at about 1034hrs one Abdulkadir Abubakar ‘m’ brought a letter of complaint to the Commissioner of Police that on the April 21 at about 0900hrs he sent one Adamu Mohammed to withdraw money for him from his Jaiz bank account using ATM card,
“While at UBA ATM machine, Usman Yahaya Isma’il who was behind him saw his PIN number and criminally deceived him, that the ATM card got hooked he should go to the bank and complaint,

“Immediately he left to lodge the complaint, the suspect removed the ATM card and left for MBT investment POS near A.G Dalibi round-about and withdrew the sum of N308,000:00 and deposited the sum of N300,000:00 into Ismail Abdullahi’s account with GT bank and used the remaining N8,000:00.” He further explained.
Abubakar noted that investigation revealed that the suspect deceived Ismail Abdulkadir and collected his account number and committed the crime.

He added that the suspect confessed to the crime, adding that investigation is on-going and acccording to him, the case will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
