Tragic Incident at Thomas Dam: Three Students Drown While Trying to Cross

Three students of Audu Bako College of Agriculture Makoda have  drowned in Thomas Dam in Kano State while attempting to cross the dam in a boat.

PFS Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, Kano State Fire Service, Public Relations Officer made this known in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the victims were identified as Ibrahim, 21, Abubakar Sanusi, 22, and Salisu Ado, 21, explaining that one of the students, Ibrahim, was rescued alive, while Abubakar and Salisu were rescued unconscious.

However, he noted that the two later succumbed to their injuries, while Ibrahim is receiving medical attention at Dambatta General Hospital.

The PRO emphasized that the Service has commenced investigation into the cause of the incident.
