The Kano Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC, has arrested seven suspected vandals in different locations of the Kano State.
The arrest was part of the efforts to ridding the state out of criminals, particularly vandals that vandalised critical national assets and infrastructures.

DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi in a statement on Friday, said the first arrest was made at Dulu Mariri quarters in Kumbotso local government with the assistance of Vigilante group in the area, involved four suspects namely: Abubakar Isma’eel, ‘M’, 18yrs, Adam Muhammad, ‘M’, 22yrs, Sani Muhammad, ‘M’, 22yrs as well as Abdullahi Jibril, ‘m’, 17yrs and they are being accused with offence of receiving stolen property, an armored cable 150mm.
“Operatives of the Corps are on the trail of 2 prime suspects, one Dan Yarabawa and Umar who are at large.” He also said.
Mr. Idris Similarly said, the Nassarawa Divisional Office of the command has also apprehended 3 suspected vandals at Tudun Murtala.

He identified the suspects as Anas Haruna aka Agogo,’M’ 25yrs, Yusuf Ibrahim, ‘M’, 15yrs as well as Idris Kabir,’M’, 19yrs who were all nabbed by the operatives of the Corps when they vandalised and stole a streetlight armored cable with Axe which according to him is a serious offence, punishable under the law.

He pointed out that investigations into the cases have since completed and the suspects will be charged to court with conspiracy, vandalisation as well as receiving of stolen property.
DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, however appealed to the general public, “that the Command under the leadership of Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala, to provide with them credible intelligence on criminal black spots, stressing that the command treat intelligence information with utmost confidentiality.
