Nigerians Demand Justice in the ongoing rift between Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Commission and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, and National Coordinator of National Social Investment Programme, Hajia Halima Shehu.
According to an insider, Halima Shehu has been facing numerous challenges since her appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and approval by National Assembly as CEO of the Agency, against Minister Edu’s choice.
In a chat with Justice Watch News, Sunday Moses, a trader in Kano, likened Halima’s situation to fighting corruption, as she is entangled in difficulties while trying to secure the Commission’s funds.
During the questioning, Halima Shehu claimed to have moved N30 billion to other accounts, alleging that Minister Betta Edu had already taken N3 billion from the Agency’s accounts in a month.

Simirlarly, Mallam Ahmed Isa, a tricycle driver in Kano, urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to review Halima Shehu’s suspension and order a discreet investigation into the allegations against her.

An anonymous insider stated that these revelations expose the Minister’s actions, suggesting that more issues will arise within the ministry.
