Demolition: BOT Distances Itself from Faction Seeking Police Investigation against Kano Governor, Kwankwaso, Others

The Board of Trustees of Massallacin Eid Shop Owners and Traders Association, Kofar Mata has dissociated itself from the alleged malicious statement made by faction of Traders calling on Commissioner of Police to lunch an investigation against Kano State Governor, Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and others over the out of court settlement on the ongoing demolition litigation, between the Association and Kano State Government before Federal High Court Sitting in Abuja.

Justice Watch News recalls that members of the Massallacin Eid Shop Owners  and Traders Association on Thursday through their lawyer, Barrister Ma’aruf Muhammed Yakasai called for the investigation of Governor Abba, Kwankwaso and others over the demolition.

At a press briefing on Friday, the Secretary Board of Trustees of the Association Ibrahim Ammani Abdulkadir stated that the opinion to boycott the earlier agreement was not majority opinion.

He described the members granted the press briefing yesterday demanding new and unmeritted complaint to the Commissioner of Police against the incumbent Governor compensation as illegitimate faction of the Traders.

The Secretary Board of Trustees, noted, “We wish to most to most openly condemn those behind it and advisably called for the rejection of their complaint.”

Ibrahim Abdulkadir on behalf of the Trustees assured Kano State Government and every other persons or organization concerned as well as general public, that ” We strongly remained indebted to the verdict of the agreed upon at the Federal Industrial Court Abuja made in December, 2023.

He further applauded Kano State Government for fulfilling its obligations, promised to give the Applicants their land to construct their shops.

He advised the faction to withdraw their complaints and collaborate with Board of Trustees for redress.

Mr Abdulkadir prayed for more peace, stability, progress and prosperity in Kano State.
