KNSG urges residents of Nassarawa GRA to trim down grasses

The Kano State Government has directed residents of Nassarawa GRA to ensure clean and tidy environment, by way of cutting down all forms of grasses and trim them as well as clearing any other debris around their compound within the period of one week or face the wrath of laws.

Ismail Garba Gwammaja, Director Public Enlightenment Ministry of Environment and Climate change, kano in a statement quoted the State commissioner of the Ministry Nasiru Sule Garo saying this, while conducting round all gardens and packs in Nasarawa GRA and other places under the ministry of Environment to asses their position and functionality or other wise for government to have a full idea and records for all gardens and packs under the ministry.

The Commissioner further explained that, the call for the residents of Nassarawa GRA to dwelt on cleaning and cutting down grasses and trim them to look very smart is part of government agenda to beautify the state and improve ecosystem and eco restoration for healthy leaving, he added.

Garo warned decisively to residents of Nassarawa GRA as a matter of urgency to comply with the said instructions as government would not spared any body found wanting or neglecting the above instructions.

He said the present administration is passionate to have a conducive and habitable environment, stressing the need for people to complement government efforts In this direction.

However, staff from the ministry of Environment is deployed to monitor compliance at the area.
