The Jigawa State Chief Judge Justice Umar Sadiq has sworn in Nine newly appointed Magistrates in the state.

Abbas Rufa’i Wangara Director Protocol and Publicity, Jigawa State Judiciary disclosed this in a statement sighted by Justice Watch News on Friday.
Chief Judge, who is also, the Chairman, Jigawa State Judicial Service Commission said the appointment was sequence to the approval of the commission’s resolution in its meeting held on 26th January, 2024.

He said the appointment of the new Magistrates came after a rigorous written examinations and oral interview conducted by the special committee, formed by the resolution of the Commission in an effort to have a future dedicated and committed Magistrates in the State Judicial arm.
Justice Sadiq therefore warned the appointees to shun all forms of bribery and corruption to maintain the tempo integrity as well as restoring the image of the judiciary at lower level, stressing that judiciary serves as a last hope of the common man.

He charged them to be prepared for any challenges associated with their official engagements.
The Jurist urged the newly appointed Magistrates to be honest and hard work and to prove the integrity reposed in them.

1. Yusuf Rabi’u Abubakar
2. Nasiru Bala Ibrahim
3. Rabi’u Aminu Sabo
4. Abubakar Haladu
5.Fa’iza Kamilu Abubakar
6. Auwal Husain Adam
7. Babani Musa
8. Hassan Ya’u
9. Isma’il Muhammad.

The event which took place at Judicial Complex, Dutse, the Hon. State Grand Kadi, Hon. State High Court Judges, Hon. Kadis, Official and Private Bar, Staff, relatives and Well-wishers of the appointees was in attendance.
