Group conducts prayer for peace, good governance in Nigeria

The Arewa Support Group for Tinubu, in collaboration with Jigawa Government, has conducted prayers for peace and good governance in Nigeria.

The Covener, Abdullahi Mudi, in his speech at the event in Dutse, said the gesture is to seek God’s intervention in the nation’s quest to overcome the present security and economic hardship the country.

Mudi expressed optimism that fervent prayers by Nigerians would enable the the President Bola Tinibu’s administration to overcome the nation’s challenges.

He pointed out that the president and leaders need prayers for God’s grace and wisdom to steer the affairs of the nation toward salvaging it from its present challenges.

The covener added that Ulamas (Scholars) from Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara states participated in prayer session tilted “Presidential Prayer on Peace and Good Governance’.

“As humans, everything we do we have to put Almighty God first and prayer is key in the remedy of every predicament we find ourselves in in order to get succour from God.

“The president needs our prayers as he works assiduously towards the development of the nation, peace, security and succour to Nigerians.

“So it is important to Nigerian citizens to instead of blaming the government to pray for it in order to take the nation to the next level,” he said.

Mudi therefore urged Nigerians to continue to pray for peace, development and economic prosperity in the country at their respective places of worship.

According to him, instead of blaming the government for all challenges they faced, Nigerians as good citizens, should engage in absolute worship, dedication and fervent prayer to God to guarantee security, peace, unity and progress in the country.

In his remarks, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), who commended the convener for the gesture, said Nigerians have to be united in order for the nation’s economy and peace to prosper.

Akume, represented at the event by his Political Assistant, Mr Muhammad Sani, added Nigerians must work together for the peace and economic development.

“We to always turn to God in prayer in order to get us out of our present challenges. So it is my belief that today’s prayer session and subsequent ones will provide peace, economic prosperity and political stability in our country,” Akume said.

He expressed the hope that the forum would continue to play a key role in promoting peace and unity among Nigerians.

The SGF assured that the Tinubu led administration will continue to work tirelessly towards the development of the nation.
