The Delta State Police Command has apprehended four suspects in connection with armed robbery activities.
Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Agbor Area Command stormed Kelubia Street in Agbor-Obi, leading to the arrest of Ogbolu Peter, Justice Nmor, Precious Odilu, and Queen Mba. During a search of their premises, two locally made cut-to-size guns, an AK-47 magazine loaded with live ammunition, cartridges, cult berets, and suspected Indian Hemp were recovered.
In a separate incident, the Crack Squad received information about a cult activity in Ogwashi-Uku, Ubulu-Uku Road.
They swiftly cordoned off the area and apprehended Chigozie John, who was found in possession of a locally made cut-to-size gun and a live cartridge.
John confessed to being a member of the Aro Bagger Confraternity.
Investigations are underway to arrest other cult members operating within the state.
CP Wale Abass commended the successes achieved by the operative and urged the public to support the eradication of firearms and ammunition.
He reminded those in possession of illegal weapons that they have the opportunity to surrender them at the nearest police station.
The CP also issued a stern warning to the residents, especially the youth, to abstain from engaging in cultism and related vices, emphasizing that the command will relentlessly identify, arrest, and bring offenders to justice.
