The bail application ruling for Abdulmajid Danbilki Kwamanda experienced slight hitch on Monday as Magistrate was unable to attend the court due to health reasons.

Justice Watch News, previously recalled that on January 23rd, the senior Magistrate Abdulaziz Habib had remanded the defendant in the Correctional Centre and scheduled Monday for the ruling.
When the court reconvened on Monday, Abdulmajid Danbilki Kwamanda was brought from the correctional centre at 9 am, accompanied by his lawyer, Barrister Ibrahim Abdullahi Chedi.
However, they were informed by the court registry that the presiding magistrate, would not sit due to the health reasons.
Barrister Ibrahim Abdullahi Chedi, speaking to journalists, confirmed that he and his client were present in court but were notified of the magistrate’s absence.
“It is now almost 12:30 pm, and it seems that the court will not sit. The registry informed us that the court will reconvene on Thursday at 1 pm for the ruling,” Barrister Chedi said.

Justice Watch News observed that as early as 9 am, political allies of the defendant flocked to the court and began praising him.
Danbilki Kwamanda is currently on trial for his alleged comments on a radio program, where he called on the public to revolt against the Kano State Government if it planned to reconsider the issue of splitting the Kano Emirate.
According to the prosecution counsel, Barrister Abdussalam Saleh Danmaidaki, Danbilki Kwamanda’s actions was in violation of Section 114 of the Penal Code Law.

Initially, he denied the contents of the First Information Report (FIR).
