The Police in Jigawa State State have confirmed that 21 persons have lost their lives after an ghastly accident that occurred on Sunday, 15th August 2021.
The Jigawa Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Lawan Shiisu disclosed this in a statement.
2 Die, 5 Injured in Kano Fatal Accident.
The statement explained that at about 0600hrs a distress call was received from RABADI village that an accident has occurred along Gwaram Basirka road. One Hummer bus with reg no. FYK 406 ZA Gombe State conveying 18 passengers from Kano State to Adamawa State and a Canter lorry reg no. not found, conveying 3 passengers destination not known yet, fell into broken culvert full of water.’

The statement said all the victims were evacuated to Basirka Hospital where 21 passengers confirmed dead by medical doctor while one Simon Chinapi ‘M’aged 26 yrs of Mubi Adamawa State survived the accident.

” Commissioner of Police Jigawa State Police Command, CP Aliyu S Tafida, AC_Ops, DPO, Gwaram and other officers have visited the scene and directed prompt and discrete investigation into the incident”.
