Senior Lawyer Donates 49 Years Supreme Court Reports To BUK

Nuraini Jimoh Legal Support Foundation in collaboration with his Law Firm have donated Supreme Court Reports from 1974 to date, worth N5 million to Faculty of Law, Bayero University, Kano to support legal researchers, lecturers and students in their quest to seek for knowledge.

Speaking at the occasion, held in BUK Court Room, Nuraini Jimoh SAN, similarly donated the sum of N4 million to 100 Kano Indigent Law Students in the University, N40,000 each to subsidize their school fees.

The Learned Silk also gave the sum of N500, 000 as financial support to National Association of Kano State Law Students Association, NAKLAS conduct the Union Activities.

He further donated another N500,000 to Federation of Oyo State Students Union.

Mr Jimoh also bought the classic office chair for Professor AB Ahmad, Deen Faculty of Law Bayero University.

He also requested University’s approval for the annual endowment fund award to the BUK Faculty of Law best mooter award.

According to him, the gesture was to cushion the economic hardship being faced by Students.

He noted that Students shouldn’t go and scavenging for school fees, emphasizing that it is the sacred duty philanthropists and society to find a solace to the students to have a better future.

Jimoh SAN stated that ” I see myself as a seed planting by Almighty Allah. My best ambition is to support humanity. I came from humble background.

The only way I thank Almighty God is to look back and hold my conscious as a Muslim, a Lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.

I also look back to this family that I had my First and Second Masters Degree.

I have friends, call mates, class mates and my brother who are Senior Lectures in the Faculty, like Professor AB Ahmad, Professor Mamman Lawan Yusufari and many of them,”
he stated.

Mr. Jimoh SAN revealed that he grown up living in crumbles, maintaining that
as an orphan he had a lot thanks Almighty Allah for attaining the highest position in legal profession.
