NSCDC Jigawa Command Decorates 83 Promoted Officers

The Jigawa State Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Alhaji Garba Muhammad has decorated 83 recently promoted officers who benefitted from the 2020 promotion exercise.

In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer CSC Adamu Shehu said the decoration exercise took place at the State Command Headquarters in Dutse.

He further said that the colourful exercise attracted important dignitaries from agencies within the Ministry of Interior and beyond.

According to CSC Adamu, the Promotees are :
” Six ACC’s were elevated to the rank of DCC’s , Eleven CSC’s to ACC’s, Six SC’s to CSC’s, Three DSC’s to the rank of SC’s, Forty Six ASC 2 to ASC 1, while Eleven Inspectors of Corps 2 to IC 1.

The statement however noted that the beneficiaries included the Head of Administration, Abubakar Inuwa Tashi, Head of Intelligence and Investigations Umar Aliyu Makama, Head of Crisis Management, Mustapha Umar, Head of Critical National Asset & Infrastructure, Shu’aibu Rekiyatu Bello, Head of Welfare Services, Jonathan Dodo Ayiya, and Area Commander Dutse, Umar Aliyu all from the rank of Assistant Commandants to Deputy Commandants.

” Equally promoted is the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Adamu Shehu, who got promoted from the rank of Superintendent of Corps (SC) to Chief Superintendent of Corps (CSC).

The State Commandant charged the newly promoted officers to be more dedicated and committed to their new responsibilities, quoting the popular adage “to whom much is given, much is expected’.

He emphasized on the need to put hands on deck towards actualising the Commandant General’s agenda of moving the Corps to a greater height.

In his goodwill message, the Controller of Correctional Service represented by DC Musa Dauda Doguwa called on the newly promoted officers to professionally discharge their duties with due diligence to reciprocate the good gesture.

The State Commandant was assisted with the decoration exercise by the Command 2ic, Deputy Commandant Mansur Garba and other invited guests from Sister formations including Immigration, Correctional and Federal Fire Services.
