Executive Order: Nasarawa Police Receive Uniforms, Equipments From Proscribed Vigilante Groups

The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command,  CP Shehu Umar Nadada has informed the general public that the command has received two hundred and sixty-seven (267) pairs of uniforms, one hundred and two (102) pieces of black belts and one hundred and eighty-nine (189) pieces of infantry lanyards from Kungiyar Zaman Lafiya Nomad vigilante group.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, Command’s Spokesperson made this known to journalists on Sunday.

He said the development was in compliance with the Executive Order No.1 2024 on the proscription of Ethnic vigilante groups and other similar organisations.

Furthermore, he noted that five hundred and sixty-four (564) black berets, three hundred and thirty-nine (339) pieces of black/ ten (10) white lanyards and two (2) identification cards were also received from the aforementioned vigilante group.

According to DSP Nansel, “Commissioner of Police hereby calls on those who are yet to comply with the Executive Order to do so on or before the expiration of the two-week ultimatum; as the Command shall ensure that the Ban is enforced to the latter.
