Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Member Tudun Wada/Doguwa consutituency on Thursday, donated 10 bags of Rice, laundry materials and 1 Bull to inmates in Medium security Custodial Center Goron Dutse Kano.
SC Musbahu Lawan Kofar Nassarawa, Corrections Public Relations Officer, Kano Command in a statement obtained by Justice Watch News said the gesture was part of an effort to assist inmates in Kano.
The Lawmaker thanked the Almighty Allah for given him the opportunity to visit the Center and to donated the food items to the inmates in order for them to feel they are part of the society.

He implored on them to be of good behavior and refrain from any act that bring them back to crime. “To be in custody is a destiny by God because the difficulties faced by you is temporary and there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
He also encouraged the inmates to keep hope alive that freedom will come at its due time.
Alhassan Ado Doguwa donated the sum of #lN500,000 for the welfare of inmates and #N250,000 for the staff on duty, he also promised to pay the fine and compensation of 100 Inmates of the Center.
Similarly, the Lawmaker extended the same gesture to the inmates of Tudun Wada Custodial Center where he donated 5 bags of rice and N100,000 for inmates welfare.
On his part the Controller of Corrections Kano represented by the officer incherge DCC Abdullahi Ibrahim appreciated the Member for the relentless support and assistance received from him and called other people to emulate the habit of assisting the inmates because this will help in repositioning the lives of the inmates to be productive even after serving their jail terms.
The Controller prayed God Almighty to bless the member and his family.
