CP Nadada Assumes Duty as 28th Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Police Command has informed residents of the State and members of the public that, CP Shehu Umar Nadada, has assumed duty as the 28th Commissioner of Police.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, Command’s Spokesperson in a statement on Tuesday said the new Police Boss in the Command replaced CP Maiyaki Mohammed Baba following his retirement from the Nigeria Police Force after years of meritorious service to the Nation.

CP Shehu Umar Nadada hails from Rano LGA of Kano State. He holds (B.Sc. Hons) in Applied Biology from Bayero University, Kano and Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University (A.B.U.), Zaria.

He was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force on May 18, 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and has served the Nigeria Police Force in various capacities such as:

The Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, Nassarawa State Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Operations, Nasarawa State Command, and was 2ic Area Command, Zaria, Kaduna State Command.

The Commissioner of Police in the cause of his career sojourn also served as Divisional Police Officer in various Divisions in Niger, Ekiti, Kaduna and Anambra States.

Furthermore, the highly celebral CP was also a Divisional crime officer and Staff Officer Junior, Niger State Police Command, among others.

CP Nadada, attended many courses within and outside the shores of Nigeria among which are, Citizenship and Leadership course, Combat Operation Course, Intermediate Command Course, Operational Management Course, Financial Malpractices in Banks, Financial intelligence and Fraud Management course, Training on Humanitarian Principles and International Standards of Law enforcement, Senior Executive Course 45, 2023, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru Jos and Leadership Course at the prestigious China National Academy of Governance in Beijing.

His hobbies include reading and horse riding. He is happily married with lovely children.

The new Commissioner of Police solicited the support and collaboration of the general public by providing useful information in order to frontally and decisively deal with the scourge of any form of crime in State
