Commandant Falala assumes duty as new NSCDC boss in Kano

The newly deployed State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command has since assumed duty.

DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi Command’s Public Relations Officer, NSCDC Kano disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.

He is Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala, FCNA, an indigene of Zamfara State. He had his early education in Gusau, Zamfara State and later obtained a Bsc in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the famous Bayero University, Kano.

His journey into the service of the NSCDC began in his home State of Zamfara before he was later transferred to the National Headquarters of the Corps, Finance and Account Directorate. Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala also worked in various Units at the Nhq including office of the ACG Finance as PA, office of the AGF etc. He was once a 2ic, Kano command. Until his recent deployment to Kano as the state Commandant, Commandant Falala was at the Zone ‘N’, Zonal command, Kano.

The PRO also said the new state Commandant is a receiver of many awards and has to his credit membership of a number of professional bodies: FCNA, NIM, ANAN etc. He also attended different courses in Nigeria and overseas, in countries such as Italy, Ireland, Brazil, Israel, Turkey etc.

Commandant Falala is happily married with children.

The newly posted Commandant had held a maiden meeting with the management and solicited for their support and cooperation so as to achieve the desired result of tackling security challenges in the State and as well ensure protection and safeguard of all critical national assets and infrastructure.

Commandant ML Falala has since hit the ground running directing for massive deployment of NSCDC personnel in the State for a peaceful May 29 Governorship inauguration, an assignment they’ll embark upon in synergy with Nigerian Police, DSS and all the security agencies.
