NSCDC Operatives Burst 5-man Phone Snatching Syndicate in Kano

A syndicate of five that allegedly specialised in stealing and phone snatching have been arrested by operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command.

DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi Command’s Public Relations Officer (NSCDC) made the disclosure in a statement issued on Wednesday.

He said the suspects include: Faisal Usman, m, 28yrs, Mansur Isa,m, 38yrs, Abdullahi Bashir,m, 25yrs, Ahmed Ibrahim,m, 21yrs as well as Zulkifil Bello,m, 25yrs.

He maintained that suspects used to operate and engage in the dastardly act around Sabon gari, Fagge Local government area where they steal and snatch handsets belonging to innocent people.

“Men of the Corps intelligence and investigation department are on the trails of their accomplices ( Mr Sunday and Abdullahi) whom they used to sell the phones and Sim cards to.”

He noted that on completion of investigation the 5 suspects will be charged to court.

“The NSCDC Kano command wishes to reiterate its stance in sustaining the fight against phone snatching, crimes and criminality as well as protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.” He added.
