International Children’s Day: NGO Urges Stakeholders to Ensure Better life for all Children

The Founder/Chief Executive Officer Officer, Save the Child Initiative (STCI), Nigeria Mr Abdulganiyu A Abubakar has urged state and non-state partners to reach out to children in emergency, in crises areas, out of school, children who are sexually abuse and exploited and child headed household to ensure a better future for all.

Mr Abubakar made the assertion in a statement to commemorate this year’s International Children’s Day.

The Founder of the NGO said on “This day 27th May 2023, Save the Child Initiative joins Nigeria to celebrate the International Children’s Day by ensuring that Educational, Child Protection, health and justice is provided for them and their families.”

STCI is utilizing this day to call on parents and caregivers through various social media platform to ensure that basic rights of children are provided We also have in place expertise on child protection, child trafficking, educational support for children, life skill support and economic empowerment for parents to support children in Nigeria.” He further said.

“At this point, we bring all the children in Nigeria and beyond well wishes from the Board of Trustees, Management members, staff, volunteers and friends of STCI.”

Mr Abdulganiyu Abubakar stressed that every child deserves quality education and protection from all forms of abuse.

He further stressed that every child deserves the right to decent living condition and justice when abused.

According to him, Children’s Day is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honor of children all over the world. It is a day for parents, teachers, health professionals, government leaders, religious and community leaders, media professionals, young people as well as civil society activist to come together in ensuring the right and general welfare of the child is duly observed by equipping children with qualitative education, improved health care, inclusion in decision making and recreational activities. Save the Child Initiative since 2001 set out to ensure the rights and protection of children and their families.
