The Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has suspended its Kwanar Dawaki Branch Chairman, Alhaji Hamisu Baba, over allegations of defaming the character of the Executive National President of the Association.

In the suspension letter signed by the National Executive President, RTEAN Alhaji Musa Muhammed (Maitakobi), and the Secretary-General, Comrade Yusuf Ibrahim Adeniyi, and addressed to the Kano State Branch Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Jibrin, it stated,

“After careful review of the matter and in reference to Article 12 (d), by the power vested in the National Executive Council, we have been mandated to convey to you the decision of the N.E.C to uphold the suspension order, which is in line with the Association’s constitution in Article 6: A1(vi) and A2(i).”
Efforts to reach the suspended Chairman Mr Baba for comment proved abortive as he did not respond to several calls and text messages sent to him by the Justice Watch News correspondent.
