Fire Disaster: Kano Loses 3, Property worth N10m destroyed

The Kano State Fire Service has said that three people have died in different disasters that occurred in Kano, last month of August.

PFS Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, Public Relations Officer Kano State Fire Service made this known in a statement issued.

He stated that within the period of last month in review, estimated properties worth N10.3m were destroyed by fire disaster.

He also said, “We successfully rescued six people from different fire disaster.

Estimated properties worth N16.700m save by our men in the month of August,” Saminu added.

He maintained that the state fire service received an emergency call from its 28 fire stations across the State in the month under review.

He explained that 12 fire call, 8 rescue call 5 false alarms were recorded.

He advised the general public to handle fire with care, and to avoid using Liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) Cylinder in their Vehicles and Generators to avoid inferno.

“Further more to abide by the traffic law to avoid road accident and free up our drainage to facilitate free movements of water during this rain season to avoid building collapse.” He further stated.
