Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), on Monday says its operatives have arrested 19 suspects who allegedly attacked truck loaded with 50kg bags of Alhamsad Rice, along Zaria road.
DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, Command’s Public Relations Officer made this known to Justice Watch News.
He said the ugly incident occurred on Sunday, 26th 2023 by 1130hrs.

According to him “A truck with plate number UGG 532 XA Kano, loaded with hundreds bags of rice from Alhamsad Rice Mill, Sharada, Kano heading to Zaria Kaduna state has been attacked by hoodlums carting away substantial 50kg bags of rice loaded on the trailer.”
He further said while the ugly incident was going on along Zaria Kano, good Samaritans informed operatives of the NSCDC Kano command who swiftly mobilised personnel to the scene.
DSC Abdullahi further said 19 individuals were arrested and 29 50kg bags were recovered from them.
He explained that driver of the truck and his assistants were rescued unhurt and the suspects are in custody of civil defence.

He revealed that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
