Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, Kano command, Commandant Abu Tambuwal has approved the deployment of Nine hundred and seventy seven(977) of its personnel to nooks and crannies to have a peaceful celebration in the state.
The operatives drawn from operation department, critical national assets and infrastructure protection department, Anti Vandalism unit, Intelligence and investigation department will augment personnel from Divisional offices across the state to provide maximum security around Christian worshipping places, recreational centers throughout the Yuletide and beyond.
A statement by DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, CDPRO Kano command said the operatives have been briefed to work in liaison and synergy with other sister security outfits to achieve the common goal of safety of lives before, during and after the festive period.
” The general public are hereby enjoined to co-operate with us and volunteer useful information to the security agents with a view to having a hitch free celebration. Meanwhile, criminal elements are forewarned to desist from engaging in any act capable of disrupting the existing peaceful atmosphere in the state, as if anybody caught breaching public peace will be dealt with in accordance with the law.”
