Ummulkhusum’s Death: Defense Counsel Presents Urologist as DW2

The ongoing trial of alleged culpable homicide against Chinese national, Frank Geng Quarong continued on Thursday with the defense presenting Dr. Abdullahi Abubakar, Urologist as defense witness number 2, (DW2)

In his evidence, Dr Abubakar told the court that he has been practicing as a urologist for over 30 years and he had been teaching some courses at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital for 13 years in urology.

He also testified that he retired from public service in 2018 but still active in practice in human body eye, nose, testifying that ear are end action nerves as well as testicle which are vital organs.

He further testified that if there is prolong pressure on the end nerves, feelings may change and the release of andrelen fall over stimulation of vagus nerve which may cause fright, fight and flight.

“The testicle is more sensitive because it have sensory nerves when it is pull fright, fight and flight will occur and cause accident, inflammation problems and may cause erectile dysfunction and urinary problem.

“The blood pressure will fall, there will be low level of oxygen in the brain and the patient may faint or get shocked so in other to survive the action you try to fight the situation”

The Prosecution team, led by Director Public Prosecution (DPP) Aisha Mahmoud prayed the court to order defense, supply them with list of all witnesses intended to call as well as medical dictionary to enable prosecution conduct cross examination.

Presiding Judge, Justice Sanusi Ado Ma’aji has ordered the defense counsel to furnish the prosecution as prayed.

Justice Watch News recalls that the Defendant earlier told the court that the deceased grabbed his genital to the living room and action that made him to stabbed her.

Earlier under cross examination, Quarong told the court what transfered between himself and Ummulkhusum.

Mr Quarong is standing trial on the allegations of killing Ummukulsum Sani Buhari (His Suitor) on 16th September, 2022.

He earlier pleaded not guilty to the charge, with according to the Prosecution contravened section 221 of Penal Code Law, Punishable with death under same law.

Justice Ma,aji adjourned the case to 6th April, 2023 for cross-examination and continuation of defense.
