PCACC Collaborates with Kano House Assembly To Strenthening Law of the Commission

The Acting Chairman, Kano State Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission Barrister Mahmoud Balarabe has said that the Commission is working in conjunction with Kano State House of Assembly with the view to strengthening the law governing the Commission

The Acting Chairman disclosed this at a press briefing on Thursday

He stated that the Commission will review its law to checkmate the incessant price increase of commodities by Traders

” It is unfortunate the way and manner Traders increase price of their commodities without any justification which is causingĀ  unnecessary hardship to the public.

He further stated his willingness to improve the general functions of the Commission, lamented that the Commission has been working without proper procedure

” When I assume duty i discovered that the Commission operates without head of Adminstration and that affect the smooth running of the commission’s responsibility of fighting corruption.

” There is need to have open and secret registry in the Commission to avoid mal -administration

He pointed out that the commission is saddle with the responsibility of performing dual functions of receiving complaint and anti corruption crusade

He stressed that the fighting of corruption is everybody’s affairs, calling on general public to join hands to curtail corruption.

The Anti Graft Chairman maintained that the commission has improve its relationship with Members of the Civil Society Organizations and other security agencies to rid out the menace in Kano and Nigeria as a whole.

” The Commission is now receiving 60 complaints a day against 35 before i assume duty. He said.
