NUJ Kano Urges Media Owners on Practitioners’ Welfare; Hails Police for Securing Eid

The Kano Council  Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), has congratulated Muslims on successful completion of Ramadan fast and EDIL FITRI celebrations.

In a statement by Chairman of the Council, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim and his Secretary, Comrade Abba Murtala enjoined Muslims to cultivate the lessons of the holy month which preaches, sacrifice, tolerance and love.

The statement also said as the value of the Naira further appreciates, prices of goods are expected to reduce while measures should be employed to check artificial scarcity of essential commodities.

It maintained that the proactive response of the Kano police command and sister security agencies in uncovering plot to disrupt sallah celebrations is highly commendable while parents should guard their wards against bad company.

The Council tasked Journalists to ensure strict adherence to Media Ethics while Media organisations should adequately respond to entitlements and welfare of practitioners for greater output.
