Ramaphosa’s visit: Guards Brigade alerts Abuja residents not to panic at sound of artillery gun fire

The Nigerian Army Guards Brigade says there will be firing of artillery gun as part of activities commemorating the 2-day working visit of the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa to Nigeria from 30th November to 1st December 2021.

In a statement, Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Captain Anebi Abakpa says part of the activity in honor of the visiting President would be the provision of Guard of Honor at the Presidential Villa and the firing of twenty-one-gun salute during the occasion.

He called on the general public especially those living within Asokoro and its environs not to panic at the sound of the simulated firing of Artillery Guns during the Guard of Honor parade.
