The Katsina Command of Nigeria Police says its Operatives have succeeded in arresting/ma notorious syndicate of armed robbers, allegedly terrorizing Daura LGA and its environs.
SP Gambo, Katsina Command Public Relations Officer in a statement issued on Tuesday said operatives of the Command arrested the suspects on 12th September, 2022 at about 1600hrs, based on a tip off.
“Nemesis caught up with the following suspects: Abdullahi Sa’idu, ‘M’, aged 50yrs of Hadejia, Jigawa state, Umar Abubakar Faruk, ‘M’, aged 23yrs of Badawa Quarters, Kano state. Zakariyya Hussaini, ‘M’, aged 25yrs, of Yar Leman, Hadejia, Jigawa state,”

He pointed out that the Suspects conspired and forcefully broke into the dwelling houses of Idris Ahmed alias Baban Hajiya, Mujihabi Yusif Sa’a Abdu, ‘F’ Ibrahim Sani, “M”, Umar Sani, ‘M’, of the same address, and robbed them of their belongings.
SP Gambo maintained that in the course of investilgation, the Suspects confessed to have been using criminal charms that will make the house holds to fall asleep until they finish committing their nefarious act.

He further explained that they also confessed to have gotten the charms from one ritualist in Niger Republic.
“The following exhibits were recovered fabricated keys, House breaking implements, one machete, five different handsets, Iron Pinches, Criminal Charms.
He noted that Suspects confessed to the commission of the offence.
