Kano State High Court presided over by Justice Abdu Maiwada Abubakar has fixed 25th January for hearing in case of alleged selling of Daula Hotel and Shahuci Carpark a case instituted by 2019 People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) governorship candidate in Kano Abba Kabir Yusuf who is challenging Kano State Government and other defendants in the suit.
The Applicant is challenging Kano State Government over the alleged diverting of multi story carpark Shahuchi and Daula Hotel to Mudatex and Elsamad Nigeria Ltd.
Abba Kabir Yusuf is seeking an order of perpetual injunction restraining all the defendants, their agents, officials, representatives or any other person from tempering, building or developing on the public property known as Multi storey Car Park situated at Shahuchi and Daula Hotel other than for public purposes.

Justice Watch earlier reports that Kano State Commissioner for Commerce Barrister Ibrahim Mukhtar confirmed that the project was a leasing to Private Companies and was approved by the State Executive Council.
It was earlier reports that Daula Hotel will be converted to the 5 star hotel on the basis of Public Private Partnership (PPP) that after a number of years, as agreed in the contract, the entire investment would be handed back to the States Government.
