Hundreds of traders were reported to have lost their properties worth millions of Naira in a fire disaster that gutted many shops in Gwarzo Market, Gwarzo LGA of Kano State.
The fire incident that occurred last Monday has thrown the victims into critical condition as many of them were seen crying and lamenting the lost of their main source of daily livelihood.
Confirming the incident, while speaking with zonal information unit of Gwarzo local government the spoke person of Kano State Fire Service Command Saminu Abdullahi Sa’id, the fire started midnight of last Sunday and it took their men up to Monday morning before they finally put it off.
He explained that, dozens of shops were completely razed down by the inferno, while properties worth millions of Naira were destroyed.
He explained that no injury or lost of life recorded during in the incident.

In his comment one of the victims, Dayyabu Lawan Bala said, he lost business properties worth over N5 million including the shop, he than called on government and other philanthropists to come to their assistant to minimize their suffering.
Among the early sympathizers included the member representing Gwarzo Federal Constituency Abdulahi Muazu Babangandu who donated the sum of N500,000 to the victims after visiting the scene.
