KNSG Commits Over N40m in Renovating Ghari College of Education

Kano State Government has committed over ₦40 million in the renovations of the dilepidated buildings of Ghari College of Education at Ghari Local Government Area in the State.

In a statement issued by the Provost of the Ghari College of Education, Dr Abdullahi Asiru commended the State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for transforming the Ghari College of Education to meet global standards.

He said the delipedaited College environment has now been transform with secured and conducive place for learning.

“In this regard government has committed huge amount of money over ₦40 million in the renovations of the dilepidated buildings as well as fencing the entire College wall, provision of infrastructure and painting for security enhancement. He explained.”

Additionally, the government provided two branded Hilux vehicles to facilitate transportation for management and staff.

Dr. Asiru highlighted that the previously neglected college, is now positioned to serve the state and beyond with sound, quality, and affordable education. He noted.

Provost Asiru stated that it is evident Governor Abba Yusuf is fully committed to the programs he initiated, which declared a state of emergency on the education sector in the state.

He emphasized that the governor’s dedication is visible through the numerous reforms aimed at improving educational standards and infrastructure across the State, which Ghari College are among the beneficiaries.

Dr. Abdullahi also announced that over 1,500 application forms were distributed free of charge for prospective students interested in the NCE program.

He mentioned that the college would soon begin lectures for the National Certificate of Education (NCE), with plans to introduce advanced IJMB and remedial courses following approvals from relevant authorities.

He thanked Governor Yusuf for his dedication and commitment to transforming the education sector in Kano State.
