Jigawa JSC Appoints 19 Shari’a Court Judges, Promotes 164 Staff

The Jigawa State Judicial Service Commission has appointed Nineteen (19) Shari’a Court Alkalis to fill the existing vacancies in the State Shari’a Court of Appeal.

In a Communique signed and made it available to media, the Secretary to the Commission Barr. Auwal Dan’azumi stated that the appointment of the Shari’a Alkalis was base on merit being written & oral interview has been conducted by the Commission to all the internal and external candidates in which Nineteen (19) out of them qualified and appointed on this exalted position.

The Secretary added that the appointees were earlier examines on their arabic understanding, procedure and general laws.

Meanwhile, a statement by Abbas Rufa’i Wangara
Director Protocol & Publicity State Judiciary however said the Commission promoted One Hundred and Fifty Seven (157) staff to various grade level to enhance manpower productivity and advance Seven (7) number of staff to various position.

11 Ibrahim Adamu
12 Umar A. Yahaya
13 Jafar H. Adam
14 Suleiman A. Suleiman
15 Abdullahi Sabo
16 Muhammad Abubkar
17 Lawan Salisu
18 Umar M. Shua’aibu
19 Shu’aibu Hussaini

Mr. Wangara  maintained that the promotion was part of the Commission’s resolutions the 177th Meeting held on the 24 October, 2024,

“In another development, the commission resolved and appointed Nazir Habu Ibrahim as acting director Finance & Supply High Court of Justice after the retirement of the former director at the age of Thirty Five years (35) in service.”
