In line with the Federal Road Safety Corps’ (FRSC) 2024 Corporate Strategic Goals aimed at achieving a 5% reduction in road traffic deaths and injuries, the Sector Commander, FRSC Kano, CC UM Mas’udu, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)

According to CRC Abdullahi Labaran Public Relations Officer FRSC, Kano Sector Command, during the visit, the Sector Commander emphasized the critical need for inter-agency collaboration to tackle the menace of drug abuse among drivers.

He called for joint patrols to identify and address cases of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Additionally, he advocated for robust public enlightenment campaigns targeted at drivers to raise awareness about the dangers and effects of drug abuse on road safety.
In his response, the Kano State Commander of the NDLEA Abubakar Idris Ahmed expressed profound gratitude for the visit and commended the FRSC for its proactive approach to ensuring safer roads in Kano State.
He assured the Sector Commander of the NDLEA’s full support and collaboration in all initiatives aimed at curbing road traffic incidents related to drug abuse.
