The Kaduna State Police Command has informed the general public that the Commissioner of Police CP Audu Ali Dabigi has assumed duty as the new Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command.
In a statement by ASP Mansur Hassan Police Public Relations Officer Kaduna State Command, CP Audu Ali Dabigi took over from the immediate past Commissioner of Police CP Musa Yusuf Garba.
The new Commissioner of Police hails from Potiskum LGA of Yobe State.
Young Audu was enlisted into the Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) in October, 1992 and trained at Police Academy Annex, Kaduna.
From the completion of his training to the very moment of his deployment to Kaduna Command as the Commissioner of Police, he had served in several States Commands and Police formations in various capacities among which is the Officer in Charge of Patrol and Guard Owerri Area Command, Imo State.
He was equally at a time a Unit Commander in 1 PMF Kaduna and also became 2I/C in the same Squadron, 2I/C Squadron Commander in 14 PMF Yola, Squadron Commander in the same 14 PMF Yola. Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Low-cost Gombe State Command, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Kauru, Kwoi and Ikara in Kaduna State Command.
At the strategic managerial cadre of the Force, he was 2I/C Department of Operation Kaduna State Command, CSP Admin in ICT Department FHQ Abuja, Contingent Commander, Nigeria Formed Police Unit, United Nation Mission in Liberia – Contingent 19, AC Operations Zone 7 Headquarters Abuja, AC Operations Jigawa State Command, Commandant Police Mobile Force Training College, Ila-Oragun Osun State, Deputy Commissioner of Police – Criminal Investigation Department, Bayelsa and Bauchi State Commands.
The officer was the pioneer Commandant Police Mobile Force Training College Ende Hills, Nassarawa State, Commissioner of Police, Police Mobile Force FHQ Abuja, Commissioner of Police Border Patrol and then posted as the 42nd Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command.
The Commissioner of Police has vast knowledge and experience in Police Operations, training, Investigation and Administration which he pledged to utilise in the administration of Kaduna State Command in order to subdue the various forms of criminality in the State.

He charged all officers and men of the command to be focused on their responsibility of maintaining law and order without jettisoning professionalism, since the task of keeping Kaduna crime free, just as that of his predecessor, remains paramount.
The PPRO however said the Commissioner of Police is soliciting for the support of all stakeholders in the discharge of his responsibility.

He noted that the new CP is not unmindful of the yearnings of the people of Kaduna state in terms of security; though multi-tasking, it is surmountable with a collective commitment.
According to the PPRO the Commissioner’s door is opened to all until success is achieved.
