The Bauchi state Government says it has boosted the state fire service with state-of-art fire fighting equipment for effective and efficient fire and rescue services.

At the inspection of the equipment at the headquarters of the State Fire Service, the Commissioner, Bauchi State Ministry of Works and Transport, Alh. Ibrahim Gambo Galadima said the gesture was part of a bid to stem the rising rate of inferno at the grassroots of the state.

He further said the visit was to ascertain the condition of the trucks, reiterated the determination of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad Administration’s to ensure safety of lives and properties to the advantage of the well-being of its citizens.

He noted that Government has procured four 4 New Brand fire fighting trucks and refurbished Four other fire trucks aimed at addressing the challenges of the absence of logistical support for firefighting officers at the Local Government Councils.
