The Bauchi State Police Command has said that one Maimunatu Sulaiman who allegedly stabbed her husband, Aliyu Muhammad to death has been
been arrested and accordingly undergoing interrogation.

Acting Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP Aminu Gimbal Ahmed, made this known in a statement issued.
Maimunatu Sulaiman, a resident of Kofar Dumi Bauchi metropolis, allegedly stabbed her husband to death during an altercation over a second wife, sources gathered.
Justice Watch News learnt that the man died from injuries on his chest after the stabbing, just as the wife also sustained minor bruises.
He said the suspect had already confessed to the offence, adding that the matter had been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for further action.
“Investigation continues, and the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.

“We acted on information received on 5th July 2023 at about 23:40hrs, detectives attached to the Township Divisional Police headquarters, Bauchi arrested one Maimunatu Sulaiman ‘F’ aged 21yrs old of Kofar Dumi area of Bauchi State for alleged culpable homicide.
He noted that while receiving the information from their end, the detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer immediately rushed to the crime scene at the address and took both the victim and the suspect to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi for medical attention.

According to the Acting PPRO, reports obtained from medical doctors confirmed that the victim died as a result of an injury sustained on his chest, while the suspect sustained minor bruises on her stomach.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect (Maimuna Suleiman) stabbed her husband Aliyu Mohammad ‘m’ of the same address as a result of an altercation between them on the 5th of July, 20223 at about 18:00hrs in their matrimonial home,” the police spokesman maintained.
