Some unidentified individuals reportedly attacked Alhaji Aminu Cunkuski, aged 50, at his residence in Karo, Zarewa of Rogo LGA, Kano, stabbing him and inflicting a severe injury on his nose.
According to an eyewitness the incident occurred around 2:30am.
Following the incident, witnesses alleged that individuals believed to be brothers of the victim retaliated by targeting two neighboring houses, allegedly to be linked to the initial attack.

The residences of Bodo Saleh, 40, and Alhaji Shehu Nagaro Danfulani were set on fire during the retaliatory violence.
Allegedly involved in the arson, four individuals were summoned by the Village Head of Karo, Alhaji Inusa Bello, sparking discontent among the residents of Zarewa Ward in Rogo LGA, Kano.
A witness who wished to remain anonymous, informed Justice Watch News that a large group of community members gathered at the Village Head’s residence to protest his actions.

When contacted by Justice Watch News Correspondent for further information, Alhaji Inusa Bello stated that he was currently working to defuse the tensions and would provide more details once the situation had calmed down.
Subsequently, when asked about the calmness of the situation, he declined to speak with our Correspondent and indicated that he had reported the matter to the Rogo District Head.
SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, confirmed the incidents and mentioned that a Joint Task Force, comprising the Army, Police, and NSCDC, had been deployed to the area.
Abdullahi reassured that the situation was under control, with security agencies ensuring peace and normalcy as residents continued their daily activities without any security challenges.
