The Jigawa State Police Command has reported that no fewer than 277 suspects arrested during the protest have been prosecuted, and several looted properties have been recovered.
Providing updates, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, stated that 13 additional suspects were arrested on Wednesday.

He explained that the arrests were made in Gumel, Roni, and Birnin Kudu LGAs, respectively.
Furthermore, the recovered items include:
“316 bales of mosquito nets, 114 bags of fertilizer, 1 motorcycle, 7 solar panels, 6½ bags of hibiscus flower (zobo), 2 bags of guinea corn, 19 office chairs, and 9 plastic chairs”
Other recovered items include: “5 cushion chairs, 2 standing fans, 5 ceiling fans, 2 refrigerators, 4 doors, 10 iron drawers, 2 fire extinguishers, 2 printers, 2 CPUs, and 1 stabilizer.” He further said.

DSP Shiisu emphasized that as of this report, Jigawa State remains calm, with no protests, property vandalism, casualties, or deaths reported.
