The Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Baba Alkali says the present leadership of the Nigeria Police Force has placed more emphasis on the welfare and general wellbeing of officers and men of the Force.
IGP Alkali Usman Baba made this known when he paid a familiarization visit to Gombe State Police Command.
The Police Boss declared that the commitment of the Force to constantly providing Nigerian Police Force personnel with better welfare would go a long way to boosting their moral.
While restating his commitment towards an improved welfare for officers and men across the country, IGP Alkali, urged the general public to make it a point of duty to help the Police by providing accurate and timely information, so as to help the Force secure the public space in a more proactive manner.

IGP Alkali expressed satisfaction over the achievements recorded in Gombe State Police Command, particularly the record of being one of the few command that has a least incidences of violent crimes in the country.
Earlier, the Commissioner of Gombe State Command CP, Ishola Babaita, explained that, the Command has built a strong foundation for active collaboration and partnership with critical Stakeholders which has greatly enhanced the practice of Community Policing and promotion of security and safety issues as a concern for all law abiding citizens in the state.

He equally noted that the traditional and religious leaders have constituted one of the veritable platform of influence which the Command has always tapped for a sustainable peace and security in the state.
