The Kano State Judiciary says it has commenced investigation to track and account for the properties that were vandalised and looted by hoodlums on 1st August, 2024 during the National protest in Kano.
Spokesperson of Kano State High Court, Baba Jibo Ibrahim made this known to Justice Watch News, Sunday.
He said the Kano High Court will make the report public as soon as it completed.

He explained that on Thursday 1st August, 2024 the rioters who claims to be endbadgovernment protest, broke into the Kano High Court of Justice, State Headquarters, and stole an unspecified amount of money and guns seized from kidnappers and kept as exhibits in ongoing cases.
He added that Private and official vehicles parked at the premises of the court were razed and some vandalised by the protesters.

Offices including the chief judge and other judges in the court were vandalised,”
“The (protesters) destroyed the new and old case files. They scatter everything in the buildings.”
He maintained that the case exhibits, including guns kept in the court’s store, were also looted.
He further explained that some of the burned vehicles parked at the court premises are exhibits in an ongoing case.
He noted this is the first time the Kano State Judiciary witnessed this incident, noting that Vehicles parked at the court’s promises were also vandalised, and looted their batteries, tyres.
