The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has successfully apprehended four suspects in connection with a case of cheating, dishonestly inducing property delivery, and criminal conspiracy.
The suspects, identified as Sadiq Sa’idu, Nura Adamu, Sa’adu Danladi, and Sani Idris, were arrested following a complaint lodged by Sambo Muhammad (Karo) of Titin Yahai, Hadejia on October 5, 2023.

According to the complainant, his 18-year-old son, Al-Amin, had been deceived and tricked by the suspects into handing over his belongings, including his father’s ATM card and motorcycle keys, under the guise of offering prayers to increase his bank account balance.
Upon investigation, the NSCDC traced the suspects’ activities to various locations, including Kano State, by tracking the POS locations used to access the victim’s bank account.

Further investigation revealed that the stolen motorcycle had been sold multiple times, with its actual value estimated at N640,000.
CSC Adamu Shehu, Civil Defence Public Relations Officer Jigawa State Command in a statement on Sunday said the suspects, who have confessed to the crime, have been charged before a Chief Magistrate Court (CMC) in Hadejia and will face full legal consequences.
