NSCDC Arrest 2 Suspects for Theft, Conspiracy, Stolen Iron Doors

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State Command have arrested two suspects in Hadejia LGA over the alleged offences bordering on theft, criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property contrary to section 97, 286 and 317 of Penal Code Law.

In a statement by SCS Adamu Shehu, Jigawa Command’s Spokesperson of the Corps said the suspects include; Sani Hassan ‘m’, aged 35 of Dubantu Quarters and Sani Adamu ‘m’, aged 27 of Titin Yahai Quarters in Hadejia LGA allegedly conspired and went to a welding workshops, beside NSCDC Divisional Office, Hadejia and the other one located opposite to Police Divisional Office, went away with Eight (8) iron doors valued at N200,000.

” The stolen doors were, a day after, sold to one Hussaini Ayuba at the sum of N82,000 only, luck ran out of the buyer when one of the owners, Tasiu Ibrahim recognized his two (2) doors out of the stolen Eight (8) being conveyed on a wheelbarrow.”

“The suspects confessed to the alleged crime and will be charged to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution,” he said.
