Alhaji Muttaka Iliyasu, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Higher Education, has officially assumed his duties.
In his address, the Permanent Secretary Alh. Muttaka Iliyasu pledged to spearhead developmental projects aimed at advancing the tertiary education sector in the state.

Acknowledging the longstanding cordial relationship with the outgoing Acting Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Aminu Yusuf Kura, who has been promoted to Permanent Secretary at the Deputy Governor’s office, Alh. Muttaka Iliyasu assured maximum support and cooperation to achieve the ministry’s goals.
He expressed gratitude to the staff of both the Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry for Higher Education for their warm reception.
Former Acting Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Aminu Yusuf Kura, described the day as historical and joyful, as he handed over the reins to the new Permanent Secretary.
He thanked the State Government for selecting him and commended the hardworking personnel within the ministry, Urging the staff to extend similar support to his successor for the benefit of the state’s progress.
Directors, including Alh. Musa G. Sharifai (Director Academic, Planning and Research) and Dr. Nazir Datti (Director Special Assignment 1), along with Alhaji Garba Inusa (Director Administration and General Services from the Ministry of Local Government), separately commented on the leadership qualities of the higher-ranking officers, wishing them all the best.
