The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano State Command has once again demonstrated its commitment to combating drug-related crimes in the State by conducting a significant operation at the Dan’agundi Construction Site, Gwangwazo Area, Farm Center area along Zaria Road, Tashar Rami, and Filin Idi in Kano.
In a coordinated raid, NDLEA operatives arrested 22 suspects and recovered a substantial cache of assorted illicit substances, including Cannabis Sativa, as well as “Suck and Die,” rubber solution, and various locally made arms.

He said the operation underscores the command’s ongoing efforts to tackle drug trafficking and abuse in the State, which pose serious threats to the safety and well-being of communities across the nation.
“The Command is currently conducting thorough investigations to identify the dealers among those arrested for the cause of this operation, with plans to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.”
“In line with its commitment to public health, the command will also refer those found to be using drugs to its drug demand reduction program for counseling. This dual approach aims not only to address the immediate issue of drug trafficking but also to provide support for individuals struggling with substance use.” He however said.

He noted that the Command under the leadership of CN AI Ahmad assures the public that its operations will not be hindered by any obstacles, as the agency consistently employs a proactive approach to its operations and logistics.
He pointed out that his commitment allows the NDLEA to effectively respond to emerging drug threats and maintain its relentless pursuit of drug traffickers and abusers.

ASN Maigatari added that the Command urged the public to continue cooperating with its efforts and report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking and abuse in their communities.
