Adamawa Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Isiaka Hassan, 29-year-old man, allegedly conspired with someone at large to kill and bury a 5-year-old boy, Abba Bashiru
SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa State Command made this known in a statement, issued on Sunday.
He said on 30th August, 2025, the Adamawa State Police Command received a report from Hadiza Bashiru of Tingno, Lamurde LGA, that her 5-year-old son, Abba Bashiru, was missing and was last seen with one Isiaka Hassan.
He also said on the strength of that, the command’s operatives led by the Divisional Police Officer, Tingno, swiftly led an operation and arrested the said Isiaka Hassan, who during interrogation confessed to having conspired with one yet to be arrested to kill the boy and bury him in a shallow grave.
He added that the corpse was exhumed and taken to Hospital for autopsy.
According to the PPRO, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris has directed the State CID to take over the case and ensure the arrest of the fleeing suspect.
