The Adamawa State Police Command, in collaboration with local hunters, on Tuesday apprehended a 30-year-old man identified as Shuaibu Abubakar.
SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje Command’s Public Relations Officer in a statement said the arrest comes as a result of an ongoing manhunt for wanted criminals in the state.

He explained that Shuaibu Abubakar, a resident of Tambo in Girei LGA, was listed as a wanted suspect by the Adamawa State Police Command.
He noted that during his arrest, law enforcement officers recovered an AK-47 rifle along with sixteen rounds of live ammunition.
SP Nguroje however said the Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, expressed his satisfaction with the successful operation and emphasized that there is no hiding place for criminals in Adamawa State.
He stressed that police have implemented strategies to combat kidnapping activities, especially during the Ember Months.
