Kano Records Well Accident Death, Victim’s Identity Remains Unknown

The Kano State Fire Service has confirmed that a 45-year-old man fell into a well and lost his life in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at approximately 12:59 hours.

According to the Kano State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, ACFO Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi,
the emergency rescue team received a distress call from ASP Kabiru Lawan of the Gezawa Police Division and swiftly responded to the scene.

He said upon arrival, they found the victim unconscious in the well and attempted to rescue him. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He maintained that the Victim’s identity remains unknown, as community leaders and locals confirmed that they had no knowledge of him or his origin.

The Kano State Fire Service has expressed their condolences and urged the public to exercise caution when approaching wells and other hazardous areas.
