Kano Fire Service Rescues Man Attempting Suicide by Hanging

Operatives of the Kano State Fire Service successfully rescued a 37-year-old man who was attempting to commit suicide by hanging himself on a tree near the State Road by Nassarawa Emir’s house.

The statement was made by PFS Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano Fire Service.

He said the agency’s central control room received an emergency call at approximately 10:07 am from the Ministry of Works and Housing in Kano State regarding the incident.

He adeed that the rescue teams were swiftly dispatched to the scene and arrived at 10:10 am.

He noted that “Upon arrival, they discovered a 37-year-old man identified as Saifullahi Rabiu. In his statement, the victim disclosed that he owed someone over N2 million due to an entry visa to another country.

“He further explained that he had managed to refund approximately N500,000 of the total amount, but due to ongoing challenges with the owner of the funds, he had decided to take his own life.”
